Before you begin your registration, we just need to confirm a few details.
Are you willing to work as an independent contractor?
An independent contractor is someone who is self-employed and provides services to clients. It's also known as contracting or sub-contracting.
Usually, independent contractors set up as a sole trader and run their business with their own Australian Business Number (ABN).

The majority of Five Good Friends Helpers are independent contractors and we have a larger volume of opportunities available for them. As an independent contractor you’re in control of the hours you work and the rates you charge for your services.
Our sister company, Lookout Connect, works with a range of home care operators that may have full-time, part-time and casual positions available. You might like to check them out if becoming an independent contractor is not for you.
We'll use your suburb name to check for work near you.

Workers in the aged care and disability services who have been a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia at any time after turning 16 must make a statutory declaration before starting work that they have never been convicted of a serious crime. Five Good Friends has a template for this purpose here.
The Five Good Friends Brokerage Agreement is a legal document that outlines the terms and appointment of Helpers who are working on the Five Good Friends Platform.
